so weary i was from a walk in the woods .
that i lay to rest at the foot of an alder tree,.
finding sweet repose on a cool nest of leaves.. .
It was over and as he looked up at the moon and stars he felt the quiet of the night and smelled the crispness in the air. The walk home was uneventful till he reached the bend in the road and as he looked towards his house a shadowy figure awaited him. It stopped him in his tracks and the hair on is arms rose up and a shiver went down his spine.
to be continued....

Welcome your among understanding friends
on the news this morning was the almost unbelievable news that a pakistani husband and wife killed their daughter for 'looking at a boy'.
her manner of being killed is even more shocking as the parents poured acid on this girl.. there were 943 'honor killings' reported in pakistan this year with only 20 of the women being given any medical care before they died.. looking at the opposite sex.
one of the most natural responses we have as humans is construed as 'sin' and with it all of the religious and social prejudices that can and do lead to tragedy.. some day these cultures, bound by religious myths and superstitions, will change with education and understanding but it seems a long way off, to distant to have saved this young girl.. as the father of a daughter who i would protect at all costs this just leaves me shaken and i wonder how to reach those young people so they don't grow up to be like their parents..
This is a strange planet many very different worlds exist side by side. Even within different countries varied cultures operate. Personally i dislike cultures because they may seem colorful and have costumes and dances and weird foods but they are prisons for the people who live within their walls. JW's live in a prison culture bound and limited by strange rules these places seem to oppress females more often than not. i don't see a change coming anytime soon.

WOW that was very interesting
tonight's sunset is as spectacular as any i had ever viewed from the kitchen window in my former, beloved home-sweet-home.. a tiny abode it was compared to my current habitation.
no longer within a mere four wooden walls of plain aspect and diminutive scale, i now am lost in a seeming infinite architectural spread that reaches toward earth's four points, an edifice of four expansive levels that demand i walk, climb, explore every one of thousands of hidden nooks and crannies.
i am compelled to do this but find no joy in discovery.
Loss and Loneliness raises it's ugly head again
The jersey shore it's magic sunk beneath the waves. I was born and raised in NJ and every summer i stayed at my aunt and uncle's house in what was then Bricktownship it was the best time of my young life I wasn't a JW so i spend hours at the beach as a little girl we went to the boardwalk in pt pleasant and as a teenager it was seaside heights boardwalk. i think back and it had a smell and a sound and we thought it would always be there. i remember they had one of these turning barrels you had to try to walk through at seaside and another girl and her little brother and me tried to get through the barrel and he fell and then we fell and couldn't get out and they had to stop the ride for us. It's funny the things you remember. An old sea captain who lived next door worked at the mantoloking bridge opening the bridge for boats and we went under it in my uncle's boat and he opened the bridge for us even though we didn't need it. My memories of the shore are about 50 years old watching tv and seeing the arial view of all the destruction was strange it looks so different so built up and so destroyed. My mother lives in brick she's alright and today her power is back and her home is not destroyed.

deep and black is a backwoods lake whose menace is not at surface seen, but lurks with tangled limbs seeking unwary souls who too close by fall- ing banks have plied their innocent but foolish footfalls -- danger!
the thump, thump of which alerts the spirits of the lake to rise, to seek what goodly manner of flesh comes to sate a ghoulish palate that knows no limit to what is acceptable upon which to dine and accompanying good taste.
YIKES! somethings coming out of the lake RUN
i think it's iran.. they're straight up crazy wackos whos main goal is to create caliphate, world under one islamic law.
they actually believe they can accomplish this by causing great tribulation themselves with nuclear attack.. according to their belief, when theres great tribulation in the world, allah will come down and destroy non-muslims and will bring paradise.
so if they blow up nuke, it will speed up the process.
Just reading that question sent a wave of revulsion through my whole body
